The Snowman: War Child Gaza Appeal

In late December GCP had the chance to bring the Wayfaring Cinema to the amazing cloisters of Hexham Abbey for a special screening in aid of War Child’s Gaza Appeal. 70 folk of all ages came and braved the swirling breeze and glinting rain to share a little bit of magic together, including the legendary animation of Raymond Briggs’ Snowman. Briggs was renowned for his strongly anti-war stance, specifically around nuclear proliferation. This event was a celebration will keeping in mind the devastating human cost of Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza.
