Forms of Circulation #3

Shooting Kodak Vision3 16mm on the Film Bee Arri SR is always a thrill for me. This third part of the FoC trilogy by Sarah Perks and Paul Stewart we shot at and around Middlesbrough Football Club’s Riverside Stadium. This third film explores bodies, voices and energies that gather around football culture, alongside the natural ecologies that inhabit the stadium’s edges. Filmed with supporters and local participants, the work traces the rhythms of matchday anticipation and collective memory, interwoven with the movements of birds, river life and urban green corridors surrounding the site. Reflections from fan workshops fold into the original soundtrack, creating a portrait of the stadium as a living environment where sport, community and non-human life intersect.
